Whitney Group Enters Second Season of Hong Kong Football Club Mini-Rugby Sponsorship

Whitney Group recently celebrated its first season as prime sponsor of the Hong Kong Football Club's Mini-Rugby Section, a highly competitive rugby division for children under 12. During Hong Kong's World Cup Rugby Sevens in March 2005, roughly 200 children wore the Whitney Group logo throughout the high-profile tournament which was televised worldwide.

Whitney's sponsorship agreement runs for three-years. During that time, the firm provides 400 children in the Club's Youth Rugby section with rugby balls, shirts, and touring kits featuring caps, polo shirts and tour bags.


The Hong Kong Football Club, or HKFC, is the premier sports club in Asia. It plays host to events such as the Hong Kong International Rugby Ten's Tournament, and a variety of top sporting events including The International Soccer Sevens, international swimming events, The International Easter Hockey Tournament, the Indoor and Outdoor World Lawn Bowls competitions and it is the base for the Manchester United Soccer School.


Through its sponsorship agreement, Whitney helps support HKFC mini-rugby, Whitney consultants grow more involved with the club, and the Whitney Group logo enjoys exposure throughout the region.
